Recently, South Africans from three separate provinces have claimed to have seen the same
meteor shower.
People were excited to share that they saw what appeared to be the most fantastic meteor shower recently, but was that actually the case?

People from KZN, Gauteng, and North West all took to social media to share videos of a “meteor shower” that they all saw.
It was thought that the beautiful sight could have been a part of the Geminids Meteor Shower, one of the most significant celestial calendar events.

Well, one professor chimed in and dashed some hopes as they said that the lights were just space debris from a rocket launched to the International Space Station.
