Car theft is a real problem in South Africa, and some cars are high risk, like the VW Polo, which led to a new anti-theft device being advertised on social media.

A video demonstrating how to use the device has been doing the rounds on Twitter because of how much an issue it is to use.

The device is designed to fit over the pedals in the car, but it has to be placed very precisely to work correctly.
