The Colombian reporter, Julieth Gonzalez Theran, was working for a German channel named Deutsche Welle in Russia when the incident took place.

The footage shows Julieth speaking into camera as the clock counted down to the start of the World Cup when suddenly a fan comes into the shot and puts his hand over her breast and gives her a kiss on the cheek.

Theran continued to report without being distracted by the fan.

According to The Sun, the reporter spoke out about the incident and said: "I was there for around two hours preparing my things and nothing happened to me.

“But when we were live that man took advantage of it. He came at me, gave me a kiss and he touched my breast. I had to continue, afterwards I tried to see if the man was still there but he had left. We do not deserve this treatment. We are equally as professional and deserving.”

Apparently this is not the first time a reporter has been harassed on TV, it happened to Radio-Canada’s Valerie-Micaela Bain in 2017 while she was reporting live from Montreal’s Osheaga music festival.
