UK man's enlarged kidneys are literally killing him

"They're crushing my lungs, crushing my stomach, and I know they've just done a recent scan and they're crushing my heart now."
Windsor’s Warren Higgs, a 54-year-old man from the United Kingdom, is pleading for help as he battles with polycystic kidney disease (PKD).
Mayo Clinic describes PKD as an inherited disorder in which clusters of cysts develop primarily within your kidneys, causing your kidneys to enlarge and lose function over time.
This condition has led to Higgs having to fight for his life.
According to an article published by the BBC, the man’s kidneys are five times bigger than they should be.
The report states that the left kidney is 42cm by 27cm, while his right kidney is potentially record-breaking at 49cm by 28cm.
What’s devastating is that they keep on growing.
"Mine are extreme. They just grow continuously,” Higgs told BBC.
The condition has become so bad that it is now affecting his heart.
"They're crushing my lungs, crushing my stomach, and I know they've just done a recent scan and they're crushing my heart now,” said the devastated man.

Sadly, the condition means that he can’t do much for himself.
"It's horrible because I can't move. I can't breathe. You just cant do anything,” he said.
"PKD has literally taken away my whole life."
The 54-year-old will reportedly undergo an operation in July to remove both kidneys.
