Teen has lungs of 'a 70-year-old’ from vaping

A teenager has damaged lungs due to vaping for over a year.
The student revealed to CNN that he has difficulty climbing stairs and has been hospitalized with 'severe lung damage' caused by e-cigarettes.
“My lungs were that of a 70-year-old’s,” Illinois teen Adam Hergenreder, was told by the doctors, according to CNN.
The teenager started vaping when he was just 16-years-old and when he suffered days of nausea and vomiting, Adam was hospitalized in August, and doctors then informed him of the extent of the damage on his lungs.

"I first started vaping just to fit in, because everyone else was doing it," Adam told CNN, adding that his favourite flavour was mango.
Doctors attending to him shared the details of the diagnosis.
“It was severe lung disease, especially for a young person. He was short of breath, he was breathing heavily,” added Dr. Stephen Amesbury, a pulmonologist and critical care physician at Advocate Condell Medical.
