Patient arrested and accused of stealing IV
Updated | By Mack Rapapali Nights
A patient was accused of stealing medical equipment while walking outside a hospital.
The patient had the IV drip in his arm and was dressed in a hospital gown when he was accused of attempting to steal the equipment.
Shaquille Dukes shared in a status on Facebook that he was on holiday in Freeport, west of Chicago, when he fell ill and was diagnosed with double pneumonia. He was then admitted into the hospital for two days.

On the second day of his admission, he asked his doctor if he could take a walk outside and his doctor agreed. On their way out, Dukes said a security guard called him, his brother, and his boyfriend to his car and asked if they were trying to "leave the hospital and sell the IV equipment on eBay." Dukes, obviously shocked, asked the guard why he would accuse him of such. This then resulted in police being called over.
