Man warns motorists after object shatters driver's window

A man took to Facebook to share his story after an object was thrown at his car on the N4.
The incident apparently took place while the man was travelling from OR Tambo International to Nelspruit on the N4 near Emalahleni.
The Facebook user named Benni Nkosi shared a picture of the shattered window with the caption:
"On my way from OR Tambo to Nelspruit this past Friday. The driver’s window of the vehicle I was driving was hit with a heavy object (and I suspect it was a stone), while driving on the N4 closer to the Highveld mall in Witbank. Luckily, I decided not to stop but drove to Stay Easy in the mall since my suspicion was that it was a hijacking trick to get me to stop. My reason for posting about this is just to alert drivers about the dangers we are facing especially when driving at night. Stay safe y’all,"

Comments under the post said that this is a new trick being used by hijackers to distract motorists in order to rob them.
