Dangerous TikTok challenge leaves child 'unrecognisable'

A young boy suffered severe third-degree burned wounds to 75 percent of his body after dangerous TikTok challenge went wrong.
A 16-year-old boy, Mason Dark, is unrecognizable after taking part in a TikTok challenge that sees a lighter and spray can be used to create a makeshift blowtorch.
Dark attempted the trend and nearly lost his life after the can of spray paint he was holding exploded with a huge bang.
He was rushed to the hospital where he remains in the UNC Burn Center.
He is expected to recover in the burn center for about six months as the extent of his condition remains fully unknown.
His mother, Holli Dark, is in disbelief that she can't recognize him.
