Updated | By Mornings with Mack
What would you do if you were given R3.1-million to use to create a stunning piece of artwork?
Well, a Danish artist named Jens Hanning was given the money to complete a piece of artwork by a museum. The money was handed over in banknotes. The money was meant to be used within the art piece.

However, when the gallery staff received and unwrapped the expected masterpiece, they found two blank canvases labelled, “Take the money and run”.
Often artists are left to create pieces that speak to the authenticity and to showcase their perspective.

The museum was indeed not amused with the findings and have requested Hanning return all their money immediately.
