Would you consider giving your partner a ''Hall Pass''?
Updated | By Danny Painter
Have you ever wanted to take a break from your relationship? It is now a thing!
A "Hall Pass" is essentially a break from your relationship for a specified amount of time. It is given by one partner to another with a specific set of agreed on rules such as; no sleeping with anyone else. The person then can go out, flirt, kiss or do anything that's been agreed upon with anyone who is not their significant other.
This isn't a unheard of concept as recently Jonas Blue was received a "Hall Pass" from his girlfriend.
Now, after ten years of marriage, I'm not entirely sure what to do with such a thing. To me it sounds like a recipe for disaster.
Well, according to studies done in the USA, it has been shown to work in most cases and as the American Society for retired persons website states, more than half of marriages fail anyway right, so why not take the risk?

According to Psychology Today, however, it could really harm relationship health. An article on their website states that Hall Passes are mostly needed when intimacy has become null in the relationship and they have a way to fix it - with a better version of the Hall Pass.
A healthy hall pass is one in which we openly discuss the no-sex problem and don't stop discussing it until you can accurately verbalize the partner's perspective about why the problem exists. Then take a weekend vacation where you and your partner return to a place that conjures the period of time when you were first dating.
