Cape Town-based Nicky Daly is an award-winning illustrator and writer of inclusive and diverse children's books.

He saw, over the years, that there was a massive gap in the diversity in children's books and believed that children needed to 'see themselves' on the pages of the books they were reading. So, a dream was born!

Our friends at Beautiful News shared his story with us through one of their films recently and we had to chat to him!
To date, Nicky has published over 45 children's books from 'The Herd Boy' to 'The Wild Ones'.
