'I have struggled with depression for over three years' - Photographer turns his pain into art

October is Mental Health Awareness month in South Africa and to start the conversation, Danny sat down with an incredible artist who is using his talent to change the narrative of depression!
Obakeng Molepe is a photographer with an impressive resume, having been featured in New York’s Desundo Magazine, Elle, Adidas, and was commissioned by Marvel to work on a Black Panther-based project, to name a few. His accolades don’t stop there – in 2016, he was selected as one of South Africa’s Top 100 artists for Sasol’s Signature Showcase. Obakeng has depression.
