Good Morning Angels: Thando is a super-mom but needs some LottoStar love and assistance
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
How does a single mother care for quintuplets (five babies) and two older children?!
BACKGROUND: Thando Ndlangisa, 34, from Katlehong on the East Rand is a real-life Super Woman. She is a single mother of seven children aged between almost two and matric. Thando and her partner had a son, who is writing matric this year, and a five-year old daughter. He sadly passed away. She found love again and fell pregnant. They were shocked and surprised when the doctor told her she was expecting triplets. At the time, her boyfriend had a job and medical aid, and Thando had saved up some money to have the babies via C-section in a private hospital. Her surprise was not complete. When the doctor started taking out her babies, there were two more: four girls and a boy!
Thando says she was very emotional when her babies were born as she didn’t know how she would care for them. And, shortly after the quadruplets were born, her boyfriend lost his job and left. She made up her mind to do this on her own and has been working hard as a receptionist at a gym in Germiston, living in a four-roomed house with her mom, three siblings and seven children, to make ends meet. Then, COVID-19 struck and she could not work for five months. Luckily, they’re back to work from this week. Thando gets up at 3:00 in the morning to catch a taxi and get to work by 4:30 for the morning shift or starts at midday to get home at 10pm after the late shift.
When the babies were born almost two years ago, Thando and her friends reached out all over for assistance: from the minister to the mayor and a few companies. They secured a nappy sponsorship at the time, but the rest of the responsibility has been on Thando’s shoulders. Then, her friend, Sindiswa wrote to Good Morning Angels for some LottoStar love and assistance...

ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Good day
Thank you for such a wonderful initiative.
I would like to nominate Thando Ndlangisa to receive the Good Morning Angels financial aid.
Thando is a 34-year-old mother of quintuplets (their photo is attached) and has two more children born before them.
She stays with her parents, siblings and her seven children in a four roomed house. I know Thando through her boyfriend who passed away in 2019.
I pray that this email goes through so that this family can receive the much-needed assistance.
"You have never lived until you have done something for someone who can NEVER! repay you."
Kind Regards,
Sindiswa Ngwenya
