GOOD MORNING ANGELS 11 MAY 2016 (HEBRON SOCCER ROCKERS)
Supporting a young soccer squad from Hebron to shine
REQUEST FROM: William Botsang
REQUEST FOR: The Hebron Young Rockers Soccer Club
ANGEL: The Good Morning Angels Fund
SPONSORING: The GMA Fund will assist the Hebron Young Rockers Soccer Club with kit and equipment to the value of R20 000,00
BACKGROUND: The Hebron Young Rockers Soccer club was born from the initiative of a group of boys, who wanted to spend their free time doing what they love - playing soccer. They found a practice field, a coach and organised themselves. Ranging from ages 11 - 16, the boys coach themselves and one keeps the attendance register. They have loads of talents, commitment and energy, but these boys need everything else. One of their dad’s, William Mokoka, promised to help them achieve their dream of becoming a proper club: with kit and equipment. They have two sponsored soccer balls and use the local municipal field - that is soon to be re-appropriated for housing. William has contacted the local municipality to scrape a new pitch … but to help with the kit, he contacted Good Morning Angels ...
ORIGINAL REQUEST:
Dear Good Morning Angels
On behalf of the Hebron Young Rockers Soccer Club, I would like to humbly present our request for young boys’ soccer team kit and soccer balls for a team of plus minus thirty 11-16 years old boys.
Hebron Young Rockers Soccer Club is a group of local children aged between 11 to 16 years old, we are based in Hebron, north of Rosslyn industries in Pretoria, these boys are fans of Ronaldinho, Zanedine Zidane, Wayne Rooney, Lionel Messi etc., they are all school-going youngsters who are currently playing soccer against neighbouring youth teams without any soccer kit, one of them is my eleven year old son, Baleseng Mokoka who passionately pleaded with me to do something to assist. I believe that Jacaranda FM can help them see their dream come true. They want to join the local young soccer league next year. In the meantime they want to prepare themselves thoroughly by training well.
Jacaranda FM has national coverage and with such outreach and influence, I humbly request a ‘once-off’ sponsorship or donation from Jacaranda FM listeners or business community, this will be a great motivation to the children, your efforts will be appreciated, they might even name their team after the sponsor or helper!
I believe this initiative will not only develop the children’s minds but will also move them away from mischief and delinquency, these boys are passionate about soccer!
I am glad that they already have role models like Lionel Messi and Ronaldinhos’ to look up to, with that, I believe there are ample chances that they will grow up from that basis knowing what’s good for them in life.
We are looking for sponsor or donator who is willing to donate the below listed equipment. We estimate the cost of equipment to be R 15,000-00 to R20,000-00 (no cash), however, we will gladly accept any in-kind donations. We will negotiate with our municipality to scrape the current soccer field clean for use by the team.
I am confident you will find a level of sponsorship that will be comfortable with this request which we hope will be beneficial to the youngsters and the donors or sponsors. We will accept any terms and conditions that may be requested by the donors or sponsors
Equipment will be taken care of by the coach and each child’s family will donate washing soap for washing of the soccer kits and will be washed by the boys themselves at one same venue. The Hebron Young Rockers Soccer Club is willing to display your company name at their soccer games for company promotion’s mileage and to build a strong partnership with a company that will enable us to fulfill the hopes and dreams of this youth.
