Good Morning Angels: LottoStar will assist five-year-old Amy with a R10,000 co-payment for her operation
LottoStar is joining forces with Good Morning Angels for a special "With Love” fund to give added assistance to as many people as possible during COVID-19.
BACKGROUND: Five-year-old Amy Olivier and her twin-brother André were born five years ago. Amy was born with water on the brain and Spina Bifida - which is a condition that affects her muscle growth. She’s been for several operations in her life, but her mother, Shirley-Anne was told that she would never be able to walk. Now that she has turned five, Amy started walking all by herself. She falls often as her hips are weak and her feet are pointed inwards. She is scheduled to have an operation to fix this on 29 September … but her parents are struggling to scrape together the R6,000 co-payment for the operation. Amy’s Aunt, Stephanie Humphris, wrote to Good Morning Angels for assistance.

Ek is Shirley-Anne Olivier, Amy Olivier (sy is nou 5jaar oud) se mamma. My kind is gebore (2015-08-30) met Spinel Bafita, en is dadelik tiejater toe as n baba,en sy is ook gebore met n water koppie wat hulle nou vir haar n chant moes in sit, sy't reeds 3 chant vervannings gehaat. Sy moet nou gaan vir n heup-operasie en vir haar voetjies. EK het haar na verskeie dokters geneem oor sy nie kan loop nie. Op 3-jaar oud wou sy loop, maar haar beentjies trek na mekaar toe. Ek het haar by 'n ortopeet gehad en volgens hom sal sy nooit kan loop nie. Sy het nou 5-jaar oud geword en het sommer net self besluit sy wil loop! Sy loop stuk stuk, maar val nog baie agv. die beentjies wat na mekaar toe trek. Ons het tans medies maar hulle dek net 'n gedeelte daar van op die operasie wat gedoen moet word, op die 29ste Sept. Ons moet R6000 neersit met opname. Ek het 4 kinders en net my man werk - osn het net twee weke gehad om die geld bymekaar te maak en ons het dit nie.
