Good Morning Angels Follow-up: Remembering eight-year-old Kiara-Lee Coetzee
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
There are some amazing follow-ups to be heard on the Good Morning Angels Festive Edition with Roman’s Pizza 2018.
On 16 June this year, the life of Kiara-Lee Coetzee and her family changed forever. She was just seven and diagnosed with brain stem Giloma, or DIPG - Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma - a cancerous pediatric brain tumour located in the middle of the brain stem.
Kiara-Lee’s cancer lived up to its worst, most aggressive, destructive nature.
Only five months after her diagnosis, Kiara-Lee died peacefully in her bed at home on Friday, 23 November. She was eight-years-old. All outstanding medicals and other bills have been settled with the R35,000 donation from Roman’s Pizza. Candice-Lee, Kiara-Lee’s mom, expressed the wish that she would like to honour her daughter with a special unicorn gravestone.
