BACKGROUND: Baby Stefani was born a healthy happy baby in April 2014. Her anti-natal Abgar tests were excellent. Mommy Chantelle and daddy Theunis took her home to Bela-Bela. Chantelle had trouble with Stefani’s feeding, with her baby struggling with constant diarrhoea. They went to the doctor, but Stefani was given the all clear. Several trips to the doctor followed, with Chantelle worried that all wasn’t well. At 8-months, yet another doctors appointment did not give any answers, but when little Stefani’s belly swelled up to the size of a rugby ball, she was admitted to hospital and ended up spending 56 days in hospital. She was diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder. Congenital Disorder of Glycosylation (GDG) which has to do with her digestive tract. Stefani’s parents were told to say goodbye. Her development is impaired, she gets epileptic fits and at age 2, she still cannot sit upright properly or talk. Stefani is not giving up and neither are her parents. There is no known cure, but there is a course to care for Stefani that they want to attend in the new year. A friend asked Good Morning Angels to help this family in their fundraising effort, to help their little girl.
