GMA Coronavirus Support: R20,000 to feed children in Muldersdrift
A mission of love: cooking for hundreds of children in the Muldersrift area every day.
BACKGROUND: Falcon Newman and Eduard Ellis are brothers in arms. Their mission: to feed children in the Video squatter camp in Muldersdrift. Both men live in the nearby Rietfontein informal settlement. Eduard works with Dithupe’s Foundation and Rise Against Hunger, to supply nutritious meals to 900 children from 22 Early Childhood Development Centres in the area. Falcon is a missionary, who usually cooks for the children every Friday. Since lockdown, the need has increased and people are turning to them for food every day. Eduard has applied for overseas funding, which by all indications will only be released in another two months. The need is, however, now and the number of children and mothers needing food grows every day. That’s why Eduard wrote to Good Morning Angels for assistance.

Dear Martin Bester and Good Morning Angels,
I would ask please if you could assist with our mission and work in the Video informal settlement Muldersdrift, Westrand to feed the children of 22 Early Childhood Development Centres ECD’s). I work with Dithupe’s Foundation and that’s how I met Falcon Newman, a missionary and evangelist. Since the lock down we have not had feeding for them other than some Pick n Pay collections and churches like Willow Hill Muldersdrift. We are asking please, can you assist us with angel rands to feed the 858 children under our care urgently - please? Please?!
