GMA Coronavirus Support: Joining forces with Jacaranda FM’s DJ Jazzy D to assist the needy in Eersterust
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Today, DJ Jazzy D is on Good Morning Angels and we're assisting the Eersterust community in partnership with LottoStar.
BACKGROUND: Amid all the worry and struggle that communities all over the country have been plunged into, due to the national Coronavirus lockdown, we draw strength from the stories of goodwill, hope and love that emerge to assist those in need. Individuals, organisations and companies have stepped up in different ways to be of assistance in this time of national need. One such individual is Jacaranda FM’s very own GrooveMaster, DJ Jazzy D, who himself faced many challenges like poverty, to become the much loved and respected DJ he is today. Jazzy still lives in Eersterust, where he grew up and has over the years plowed back in different ways, into the community that supported his childhood dreams.
A few days ago, Jazzy did an appeal on Facebook, for donations to assist thousands of hungry and needy Eersterust families with basic food and essentials. The response was overwhelming and to date, this appeal has raised R105 000,00! Today, DJ Jazzy D is on Good Morning Angels, to see how we can assist in this labour of love for a community in dire need.
