Good Morning Angels: 80 children will get their smiles back this Mandela Month
Updated | By Breakfast with Martin Bester
Good Morning Angels managed to raise funds to help 80 children with facial abnormalities get their smiles - that’s R2-million to smile about!
On Mandela Day, Good Morning Angels set out to raise enough funds to enable the Smile Foundation to perform 30 life-changing Smile Week surgeries - that’s R750,000.
Our Jacaranda FM listeners decided this was not enough.
Good Morning Angels: Assisting children with facial abnormalities this Mandela Day
With the help of our Angels in the form of listeners and corporate partners, we ended our special Mandela Day #GMA4Smiles live broadcast from Dr George Mukhari Academic Hospital in Ga’Rankuwa on a Madiba Magical 67 smiles - that’s R1,675,000.
But the giving didn’t stop there. On Wednesday, we have more good news to share with our friends at Smile Foundation and the many little patients waiting for their opportunity to receive corrective surgery to bring a forever smile to their lives.
