WATCH: Kairo Forbes pays tribute to dad AKA in touching Instagram post
The video's caption simply read: "I love you daddy ❤️".
On the 11th of February, the tragic news broke that SA rapper AKA, real name Kiernan Forbes, was shot and killed in Durban.

While tributes came pouring in, many sent their condolences to DJ Zinhle, AKA's former partner, and their daughter Kairo.

During his memorial a week later, those closest to him wanted to celebrate his life but many could not help but wonder how his seven-year-old daughter must be feeling. When children are young it can be difficult to try and explain to them the concept of death and loss, while making sure they are dealing with the grieving process.
Three days ago, Kairo uploaded an incredibly touching tribute video onto Instagram which features throwback pictures and videos of her and her father sharing precious moments together.

The part of the video that is most likely to pluck at your heartstrings is the beginning when she says, "I love you", followed by Zinhle asking her if he was a good dad and her answer: "He was a good dad."

While one might never fully heal from something like this, hopefully Kairo and Dj Zinhle are doing well on their journey.
