But as it turns out, being hit by lightning could result in you having some superhuman abilities.

Mom of six, Kimberly Krone from Texas, was having a normal morning in her kitchen after breakfast. Suddenly, she heard two loud sounds, and at that moment, a lightning strike came through the light in her kitchen, hit the pan she was holding, and travelled to her chest.

This all happened in front of her kids, who were aged between six months and nine years old, and luckily her son Tristan sprang into action, calling 911 and reporting that lightning came through the ceiling.

Kimberly suffered from seizures and her entire central nervous system shut down, but she managed to make a full recovery.

While the event itself was obviously quite traumatic, in an interview with ABC News years later, Kimberly says the strike has had lasting effects on her.
