Taking to Instagram, Ellen DeGeneres celebrated her marriage with Portia De Rossi.
In addition, the former daytime personality accompanied the picture with a quote from de Rossi from their wedding: "It's good to be loved. It's profound to be understood."

Following California's legalisation of same-sex marriage, DeGeneres and de Rossi got married in August 2008. The 'Arrested Development' veteran and the 'Finding Dory' star talked openly about their relationship dynamics last year.

According to The Advocate, DeGeneres told the publication in 2007: "I could say the same thing I've said in every relationship: 'I'm happy.' But there's happiness and there's love, and then there's completion."
