Having pursued a BA in Journalism and a BA Honors degree in Communication Science, Sam 'Tech Girl' Wright initially wanted a career in the radio industry. Transitioning into the corporate world, she gained valuable experience at an engineering firm and a marketing agency before deciding to dedicate herself fully to Tech Girl. Embracing multiple roles, she not only functions as a blogger but also ventures into the realms of YouTube and live streaming on occasion. However, her primary occupation revolves around eSports shoutcasting, where she has played an instrumental role in organising notable events like Acer for Gaming and the 2017 Valkyrie Challenge.

The founder's expertise extends to hosting various eSports competitions in both South Africa and international settings. Some of her notable engagements include desk hosting and conducting interviews for PUBG Europe League 2019, hosting Nintendo Splatoon 2 and Super Smash Bro Ultimate European Championships, spearheading an ESL stage at Gamescom 2017, overseeing Overwatch Contenders Europe, the Samsung Galaxy CSGO Championship, and even presiding over the 2017 Crossfire Grand Finals in China. Through these ventures, she has been afforded the opportunity to travel the world, sharing her passion for eSports with a global audience, an endeavour that she finds incredibly rewarding.

With an impressive repertoire of experiences and accomplishments, Sam continues to make strides in the tech and gaming industry while inspiring and empowering women through her work.
