'How to be safe' video to greet tourists in SA

After a German tourist was killed in South Africa, Minister of Tourism Lindiwe Sisulu said that tourists entering the country will be greeted by a video on how to stay safe. But will this be enough?
South Africa's tourism sector is currently still battling to come to terms with pandemic travel restrictions, loadshedding, civil unrest, and devastating floods.

After a German tourist was recently shot and killed, the sector and country are facing more problems.
The German tourist, Jorg Schnarr, was gunned down by armed hijackers near White River in Mpumalanga.

Minister Sisulu addressed the issue of safety in the sector in Parliament on Tuesday.
"We do not want another situation like this."

The department is working with Airports Company South Africa to use it for recordings where the minister can do a 'welcome to the destination' kind of message for the festive season - but also on how to stay safe.
