Chess player Hans Niemann has become embroiled in a cheating controversy that is rocking the sport. Christelle du Toit breaks the situation down.
During the latest match between reigning chess world number one, Magnus Carlson, and Hans Niemann, the champion resigned after just a single move.

The resignation has led many in the chess world to begin speculating whether Carlson resigned because he thought his young opponent was cheating.
Carlson gave credence to the speculation when he released a statement on the topic saying he had no interest playing against those who "cheated repeatedly in the past because I don’t know what they are capable of doing in the future".

Some in the chess community have started to joke that Nieman, who has a penchant for playing naked might have used a vibrating sex toy to receive outside help during his matches.
