CEO spends R34-million to reduce age and 'win' Rejuvenation Olympics
Updated | By Jean-Mari Schmidt
If there’s one thing we know about CEOs it’s that they love spending money on strange things.
When Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos make headlines, there’s a nine out of 10 chance it’s because they are about to drop some serious cash on a wild idea or super expensive new toy.

It seems to be a common theme amongst the superrich as Bryan Johnson, a 45-year-old biotech entrepreneur, joins the ranks by spending up to $2-million a year on a very interesting procedure.
According to Bloomberg, Johnson, with the help of his team of 30 health experts and doctors, is hoping to reverse the aging process. His team is led by Oliver Zolman, a 29-year-old regenerative medicine physician, who is completely focused on reversing the aging process of each of Johnson’s organs.

The craziest part of it all? It seems to be working.
Test results have shown that he has the heart of a 37-year-old, the lung capacity of a young adult, the skin of a 28-year-old, and the gum inflammation of a 17-year-old.

His extreme data-driven programme is called, Project Blueprint, with which he claims people can “Be the next evolution of human”.
It is important to note that the programme is still in its experimental stages and is still being adjusted, but it does consist of a very intense daily regimen.
As an example, this is what a “normal” day in Johnson’s life looks like:
He starts his day at 5am and takes 24 supplements as soon as he wakes up, including zinc, lycopene, metformin, turmeric, and a tiny bit of lithium.
He only consumes 1,977 calories a day, all his meals are vegan, and they are a mix of soft and solid food. While he exercises daily, he only does three high-intensity workouts a week and has to have blood tests, colonoscopies, and MRIs done monthly.
What I do may sound extreme, but I'm trying to prove that self-harm and decay are not inevitable," Johnson told the outlet.- Brian Johnson
Johnson is hoping to inspire others by turning the experience into a competition called the Rejuvenation Olympics, where they have ranked 1,750 people’s current epigenetic age reversal.
Johnson is currently sitting comfortably in the top spot.
With new technological and medical innovations popping up almost daily, could this be the key to the fountain of youth?
