WhatsApp announced that a new feature, 'Communities', will be rolling out on the platform in the next few months.
Instant messaging giant WhatsApp announced the roll-out of its new 'Communities' feature which will be available to all users over the next few months.
The Meta-owned platform said the new update is a "major update to how people will be able to connect on WhatsApp in the groups that matter to them”.

“Communities like neighbourhoods, parents at a school, and workplaces can now connect multiple groups together under one umbrella to organise group conversations on WhatsApp.”
Users will be able to click on the 'Communities' button and add a new community or add existing groups to an already existing 'Community'.
This means users will be able to add numerous group chats under one "umbrella", which will enable thousands to participate in a community that hosts multiple sub-group chats.
