The disappearing messages feature will automatically delete messages once the feature is enabled.
If users turn on this feature, any conversation started with a new person or even existing messages will be deleted.
This is how you can enable the new feature:
- Open WhatsApp on your Android phone or iPhone.
- Go to Settings then tap Account and Privacy.
- Go to the option called Default Message Timer.
- Select the duration you want for all your messages to disappear.
- Follow the same steps and select ‘Off’ to disable this feature.
