Trevor Noah quits as 'The Daily Show' host

'The Daily Show' host Trevor Noah announced during a taping of the show that he will be stepping down as host.
The South African-born comedian Trevor Noah announced that he would be leaving 'The Daily Show' after seven years as the host.
The 38-year-old shared his gratitude towards the show and the great opportunity it has been hosting the comedic current events program.

"I remember when we first started... so many people didn't believe in us. It was a crazy bet to make. I still think it was a crazy choice, this random African," Noah said during the taping. "I just [find] myself filled with gratitude for the journey. It's been absolutely amazing. It's something that I never expected."
Noah later added: "After the seven years, my time is up, but in the most beautiful way, honestly. I’ve loved hosting this show. ... But after seven years, I feel like it's time."
According to BBC News, the actual time of his departure is yet to be confirmed, and he will continue as host until then.

Noah said during his announcement that there are other parts of his life that he wants to continue to explore, including learning other languages and going to other countries to put on shows.
"I miss just being everywhere and doing everything."
