Taylor Swift fans cause 2.3 magnitude earthquake

One thing is for sure; Swifties are some of the world's most passionate and loyal fans.
Seismic activity equivalent to a 2.3 magnitude earthquake was picked up during Taylor Swift’s concert in Seattle, USA.
This data was recorded at the singer’s sell-out Eras tour performances at Lumen Field on 22 and 23 July.

According to BBC News, seismologist Jackie Caplan-Auerbach confirmed that the activity came from the concert, either from the fans or the sound system.
"I grabbed the data from both nights of the concert and quickly noticed they were clearly the same pattern of signals," said Dr Caplan-Auerbach.
Strangely enough, this beat the record of the previous "Beast Quake" in 2011 in Seattle.
The “Beast Quake” was caused by American football fans celebrating Marshawn Lynch's touchdown for the Seattle Seahawks during a game against the New Orleans Saints.

BBC News reported that the difference between the NFL game and Swift's recent concerts was just 0.3 magnitude, but the "shaking was twice as strong" and "absolutely doubled it".
The Seattle concerts were played in front of 144,000 fans over two nights.
