South Africans are paying R7,000 for what looks like medical boots!
A local sneaker store in South Africa is selling sneakers with a price tag of R7,000 - and social media users are comparing them to orthopaedic boots. See below!
A new pair of sneakers being sold for R7,000 at a South African retailer has social media users shocked.
The boots, called the Mschf AC. 1, were procured at MSCHF, a street fashion brand in the USA.

Social media users have compared these boots to medical boots one could buy at a pharmacy. These are usually used to protect fractured bones or to provide support after other injuries to the lower leg, ankle, or foot.
MSCHF defended their new design, saying: “Let's push the envelope on what footwear is; Footwear should be anything that you wear on your feet.”

The shoes are made of water-resistant neoprene socks, which offer a dual-airbag ankle support system, and consist of flexible moulded construction.
