South African company introduces four-day work week
A South African consulting company is one of the first companies in the country to participate in the latest four-day work week trend.
IQBusiness, a South African consulting company, is one of the first companies in the country to pilot the 100-80-100 work model.
The 100-80-100 model includes a four-day work week where employees will still receive a 100% of their salary for 80% of their employment time. Employees are still expected to maintain 100% of their work output.

IQBusiness signed up to '4 Day Week Global', which is an entity led by a not-for-profit coalition of business leaders, community strategists, and advocacy thought leaders.
According to The Citizen, this marks one of the first trials of the four-day work week in South Africa following 90 progressive companies across North America, Australia, and New Zealand who also implemented the work model.
“A four-day week, and the data behind it, is something every leader needs to seriously consider in their business. A reduction in working hours has been proven to increase business productivity, improve employee health outcomes, while working towards building a more sustainable working environment," said Adam Craker, CEO at IQbusiness.

The implementation of the four-day work week will reduce the amount of a standard 40-hour work week to 32 hours.
