The title of the most attractive man in the world is based on an algorithm that ranks different facial features. The analysis, which is called 'The Golden Ratio' or 'Phi', is a mathematical symmetry algorithm that underlies our perception of attractiveness.
Pattinson was declared the most attractive man after scoring an impressive 92.15%, beating other Hollywood stars like Ryan Gosling, Idris Elba, Brad Pitt, Henry Cavill, and George Clooney.
'The Golden Ratio' reportedly originates from the European Renaissance and was allegedly used by Leonardo Da Vinci for his famous work, the Vitruvian Man.

To calculate 'Beauty Phi', "the length and the width [of the face] are measured and then the results are divided. Measurements are taken from the hairline to the spot between the eyes, and then between the eyes and the bottom of the nose. Finally, the person’s face is measured from the bottom of the nose to the bottom of the chin."
The more equal these ratios are, the more scientifically attractive a person is.
