Powerful national anthem performance stuns SA
South African singer Janice Now stunned with her rendition of the national anthem during a Springboks match in Cape Town.
The Springboks kicked off their 2025 rugby season against the Barbarians at the DHL Stadium in Cape Town on Saturday, 28 June.
Although their victory once again filled South Africans with pride, it was the powerful national anthem performance that really had the country talking.

Cape Town's very own Janice Roos, known on social media as Janice Now, opened the match with an emotional rendition of 'Nkosi Sikelel’ iAfrika'.
Her performance set the tone for what would later become a victory for the Boks.
Roos, who had previously wowed crowds at the Currie Cup finals, delivered a moment to remember as the Springboks returned to the pitch.
The Springboks' first match of 2025 ended in a 54–7 victory against the Barbarians.
