A man named Kovid Kapoor went viral on social media after he tweeted that he is not a virus and has been Kovid since 1990.

Kapoor posted that he had travelled outside India for the first time since the start of the pandemic "and got a bunch of people amused by my name".

He said he mostly uses a fake name after employees at Starbucks burst out laughing when they heard his name for the first time.
He wrote in a tweet that he feels like a mini-celebrity.
