On Monday evening, Miss South Africa announced the official Top 30 finalists.

The Top 30 boasts a diverse group of young women from all across the country.
According to The South African, the finalists include an estate agent, a corporate lawyer, a veterinarian, a forensic science graduate, teachers, models, entrepreneurs, and law students.
This year's Top 30 finalists have been selected by an elite group of South African women, including former Miss South Africa 2015, Liesl Laurie, and actor Simoné Nortmann.

The panel of judges also includes body-positive activist Tracey-Lee Lusty Horwitz, business dynamo Koo Govender, fashion designer Khosi Nkosi, businesswoman and award-winning editor Makhosazana Zwane-Siguqa, and TV personality Thando Thabethe.

In 2015, our very own queen Liesl Laurie was crowned Miss South Africa 2015. She was one of the Top 10 finalists at Miss World and became the Continental Queen of Africa, the contestant who was placed the highest of all the African contestants.
