On Monday, Martin Bester and the team spoke to Mike Savage, Kevin's son, about the passing of his dad and the legend's career in radio.
"It hasn't sunk in yet. He had time for everybody, Mart," said Mike Savage. In a post on Facebook, Mike posted a photo of a radio desk with the caption: "Love you, dad. See you in Strawberry Fields."
"It's a sad day for radio in South Africa, Kevin's big voice and even bigger personality will be missed. He was an absolute radio legend. My sympathy goes out to his son Mike and the family," said award-winning radio host Martin Bester.
Over the weekend, many popular South African personalities shared their condolences and paid tribute to the late radio legend.
