Joburg teen’s game a global hit

South African teenager and self-taught game developer is reaping the rewards!
Brandon Kynoch’s game, Torus, has been chosen as Game of the Day in 137 App Stores worldwide – quite the feat for a 16-year-old.
Torus had been downloaded 100 000 times during its first 24 hours on the App Store.
This teen, is clearly no ordinary 16-year-old, he runs his own indie game development studio, Graft Studios.

He joined Martin Bester on the Breakfast show on Thursday.
Kynoch says he gained a huge interest in game development, programming and graphic design at the age of 11.
“Since then, I have taught myself absolutely everything that I know in this regard by using free learning resources on the internet and computer science books purchased online.”
