Here's how much cashiers earn in South Africa

Have you ever wondered how much cashiers and trolley collectors make?
In 2021, Thulas Nxesi, South Africa's Employment and Labour Minister, released a gazette detailing the sector determinations for workers in the retail and wholesale sectors.

Workers in the sector earn based on their position, the company they work for, and where they live.
Cashiers earn between R4,200 and R4,600 a month, while trolley collectors earn R4,229.22.

Supervisors can earn between R5,000 and R6,000 and managers between R7,000 and R8,000.
