Good news! Oncologist calls ‘Might Mack’ a miracle!

However, on 25 May 2021, we spoke to Megan Harrington-Johnson’s sister, Amy, about Megan and her partner Bronson’s baby Mackenzie. The six-month-old fighter is also known as “Mighty Mack” and she’s in need of a bone marrow transplant match, which you can test for with a cheek swab.
Mackenzie (Mack) was formally diagnosed with Acute myeloid leukaemia (AML).

There’s good news two months later! Megan Harrington-Johnson shared on social media that baby Mackenzie’s bone marrow biopsy shows she is in remission. Harrington-Johnson says: “today we got the results back from Mackenzie’s latest bone marrow biopsy. Despite her cancer blast count having been at 6% at her last extraction 6 weeks ago (after round 1 of chemo) she has somehow managed to kill her own cancer cells whilst in a coma and her latest count is 0.1%!”

3. If eligible SABMR will decide for cheek swab to be done all free of charge (courier or at one of our depots)
