Germany announces lockdown for unvaccinated people

Germany has announced a lockdown for people that are unvaccinated against COVID-19.
On Thursday, the Chancellor of Germany, Angela Merkel, announced a COVID-19 lockdown on people that are unvaccinated.

Merkel mentioned that culture and leisure activities will only be open to people who are vaccinated.
Those who are not vaccinated will be banned from restaurants and bars, movie theatres, gyms, non-essential shops, and Christmas markets.

According to reports, about 68.7 percent of the population in Germany is fully vaccinated, below the minimum of 75 percent the government is aiming for.
