Award-winning singer Tarryn Lamb joined us on Friday for a live performance of Adele's 'Easy On Me'.
On Friday, South African singer Tarryn Lamb joined the Breakfast with Martin Bester team for a live performance and to talk about her latest single, 'Sunny'.
Watch her rendition of Adele's 'Easy On Me' here:
'Sunny' is the first track from Tarryn’s latest full length studio album, 'Blue Sky', and was co-written and produced by Theo Crous.
The pop-country song was inspired by the Bible verse Matthew 11: 28-30 and was written as a reminder that God’s love is the only constant in life.
“I felt so inspired with the verse, melody, and lyrics. I had so many things to say and had written so many options on what to say, I just couldn’t figure out how to say it. That is where Theo helped me a lot, putting the puzzle pieces of the song together,” she says.
The Ghoema and SAFDA winner, who has been working professionally in the South African music industry since 2006, says she would love to tour the world with her new album, 'Blue Sky'.
The production of the album started in 2020, just before the start of the pandemic, and is now in the final mixing stage.
Tune in to the 'Breakfast with Martin Bester', weekdays from 06:00 - 09:00. Stream the show live here or download our mobile app here.
