‘Flashdance’ singer Irene Cara dies
Actress and singer Irene Cara has passed away at the age of 63.
The ‘Fame’ and ‘Flashdance (What A Feeling)' singer Irene Cara has sadly passed away at the age of 63.
According to BBC News, Cara’s publicist announced that the singer and actress died at her home in Florida, but the cause is "currently unknown".

The American singer shot to fame when she sang the title track for the 1980 film, ‘Fame’.
Cara also portrayed the role of Coco Hernandez in ‘Fame’. She received a nomination for best actress at the 1981 Golden Globe Awards.

Cara also won an Oscar and Grammy for co-writing and singing the iconic hit ‘Flashdance’ (What A Feeling).
