We were today years old…
"Listen to Iron Maiden, baby" is possibly one of the most recognisable parts of the song 'Teenage Dirtbag', as the slow female voice makes it stand out.
But what if we told you that a man actually sang it?

The Wheatus lead singer, Brendan B. Brown, decided to sing both parts of the song himself.
Video footage of Brown singing the song shows the lead singer taking a deep breath before going up a few octaves and impersonating a female vocalist.
Many social media users were shocked to find out that it was a man singing the iconic part of the song.
"I was today years old when I learned this," wrote a TikTok user.
Another commented: "It seems obvious NOW, but no I had now clue."

Many also thought that a woman actually sang the entire song.
Brown previously told The Guardian that the riff to 'Teenage Dirtbag' is one he'd had in his head "since college".
