“Fake Alcohol” will get you buzzed but never drunk
Scientist David Nutt has said that alcohol is more dangerous than cocaine. Now, he is trying to invent a healthy synthetic alternative, and it might be on the shelves in five years.
For more than a decade, according to The Guardian, scientist David Nutt has been developing synthetic alcohol or a "fake alcohol" substitute he calls Alcarelle.

Nutt claims his creation has the potential to allow drinkers to enjoy all the benefits of alcohol without the dangers — meaning it could bring an end to everything from hangovers to alcohol poisoning.
An alcoholic beverage can be a relatively harmless way to loosen up at a party or wind down after a long day at work, but maintaining a pleasant buzz without getting wasted is near impossible. But that could be about to change.
