Dad receives backlash for kissing son on lips
Is it okay for dads to kiss their sons on the lips?
Parenting is always challenging, especially considering the many opinions and controversies surrounding parenting.
Some people feel they are entitled to opinions on others’ parenting.
One dad experienced this first-hand when he shared a TikTok video of his five-year-old son.

In the video, the dad, Tom, showed off his son’s bright blue eyes that were passed on by him.
The dad then asks his son to kiss him before the little boy kisses his dad on the lips.
Many TikTok users found the content heartwarming and shared their love in the comments section, while others were not as kind.
One user commented, “Just gorgeous … but don’t kiss him on the lips”, which prompted a follow-up video from the English dad.

“I put up a video of me and my little boy… I kiss him on the lips; he’s five years old,” he said. “And that is what she picks up on; that is what she finds worrying.”
“I find it worrying that it bothers you,” he added.
“I will kiss my five-year-old son on the lips for as long as I deem necessary and as long as he lets me because I love him to bits and he’s my best pal.”

“So for now, I’ll carry on as I am,” he ended the video.
