Country music icon, Kenny Rogers dies at age 81
‘The Gambler’ singer passed away peacefully at his home, a representative for the singer said in a statement.
Rogers enjoyed an incredible career which spanned 60 years as he sold millions of records and won three Grammys and was inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame in 2013.
"The Rogers family is sad to announce that Kenny Rogers passed away last night at 10:25 p.m. at the age of 81. Rogers passed away peacefully at home from natural causes under the care of hospice and surrounded by his family."
President Donald Trump declared a national health emergency and due to the COVID-19 emergency, the family is planning a small private service at this time with a public memorial planned for a later date.
