Breakfast with Martin Bester: Inside the life of White House Secret Service agent Catrina Bonus
Veteran Secret Service agent Catrina Bonus joined Martin Bester to talk about her work protecting the White House and the President of the USA.
Catrina Bonus is a United States Secret Service agent. She has been appointed to the rank of Deputy Chief, becoming the Secret Service's first female Deputy Chief.
Bonus is currently assigned to the White House branch where she is charged with executive level security and protection for the White House and the President.

"To protect the President (Donald Trump) is a big task. I think the biggest problem is that we don't always understand mental illnesses. People will come to the White House thinking that they are married to him," she told Martin Bester.
Bonus works with 800 other agents every day.
"I wake up very early, and we get briefed about the day with President Donald Trump," she said. "I get up early and go to roll calls. I spend a lot of time walking around and go to meetings with press and the White House staff, and then I get home around 19:00 to be a mom."

Sadly, her kids do not always understand her job.
So, is this a job for a woman?
"Absolutely. The biggest disconnect is that you will be at work a lot. You absolutely have time to do both - it’s about balance," she said with pride.
