ANC councillor's wig snatched during protest

During the ANC's 111th birthday celebrations, angry Eastern Cape residents gathered at the venue's gates, where one protester snatched the wig off an ANC councillor’s head.

The ANC was celebrating their 111th birthday at the Queens Casino and Hotel in Komani, where angry protesters gathered at the venue's gates to prevent attendees from entering. 

According to News 24, the angry Enoch Mgijima Municipality residents have been left without electricity for more than a month.

This prompted the residents to intervene during the glamorous event, where they demanded to speak to the special guest, Fikile Mbalula.

Some of the protestors cornered Nokuku Princess Dube, a councillor at Mnquma Local Municipality Butterworth. 

In a video shared on social media and various news outlets, one of the protesters confronted the ANC member before snatching the wig off of her head.

"This happening in East Cape should be a clear indication to opposition parties to start doing their work, honestly our ppl are tired of the ANC! And the opposition are failing them by not being on the Ground to assist them of their issues, EC is like Limpopo is a ANC stronghold," wrote one Twitter user.
